Curing
Hardening gel with light rather than letting it dry.
Nothing evaporates. The lamp sets off a reaction that turns the liquid solid, which is why a cured nail is hard immediately and an uncured one stays sticky no matter how long it sits.
Under-curing is invisible from the top and is a common cause of both lifting and skin reactions.
