Soak-off
Taking product off by softening it with acetone rather than filing it away.
The surface is filed through, then acetone is held against the nail — with foils, clips or a bowl — until the product turns soft enough to slide off with a wooden stick.
Gel polish and dip come off this way. Hard gel and acrylic mostly do not: they are filed down instead, which is why removal is its own service with its own price.
