Gel polish
Colour that stays liquid until a lamp cures it, then wears for two to three weeks.
Brushed on like ordinary polish but cured under UV or LED, which is why it is hard and glossy the moment the client stands up — no drying time and nothing to smudge.
It adds colour, not strength. On its own it will not stop a thin nail from bending or breaking, and it has to be soaked off rather than peeled, which takes the top layers of the nail with it.
Also called: shellac, gel manicure, UV polish
