Top coat
The last layer, which seals the colour and decides the finish.
Gloss, matte, satin or textured — the top coat is what the client actually sees and touches. A no-wipe top coat cures without a sticky layer; the ordinary kind leaves one that has to be wiped with alcohol.
Chrome and some pigments need that sticky layer to grip, so the choice of top coat is part of the design rather than an afterthought.
